Job Summary

We are looking for a Faculty Project Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities

Day to day administrative duties of i.e. filing, faxing, typing
Assist during registration
Set up meetings on behalf of the Coordinator
Write minutes during meetings
Assembles material for activities done by the unit, e.g. workshops and makes the necessary arrangements. E.g. booking venues
Keeps a diary of appointments, committee meetings
Maintaining the budget of the unit (planning, control and accountability)
Designs and compiles reports.
Prepare classlist; draw up academic record
Lead the process of linking modules; assessment criteria and computing
Attends meetings in the absentia of the Coordinator
Organise stationery for the members of staff
Performs any other duties deemed fit for the effective and efficient functioning of the project.

Qualifications and Experience

National Senior Certificate plus 3 Year Degree / National Diploma
At least 2-3 years relevant experience
Excellent administrative and time management skills and knowledge of university systems
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to liaise with national and international researchers and postgraduate students
Sound knowledge of Academic and Student administration
Good knowledge of ITS
Good computer skills, knowledge of MS Office programmes, Ability to handle a heavy workload, work at times independently and use own initiative
