Tsebo Bid Commercial Specialist


We are recruiting for a Bid Commercial Specilialist to work with Business Development Managers and the Commercial Manager to finalise bids and tenders for submission. This position will focus primarily on tender interpretation, narratives supporting the tender, contractual implications in support of the Group Legal Counsel. The Bid Commercial Specilaist will in addition engage with the Customer and support operations on tender deliverables, specifically for large Bids.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with sales personnel, various cross functional teams from the sales to operations and finance for preparation of enquiries and tender proposal and enable the development of winning and compelling solutions for each bid submission

  • To liaise effectively with operations to meet customer requirements, and drive the teams to address the customer needs

  • To involve and coordinate internal resources and to ensure optimum corporate performance levels in meeting customer requirements

  • Responsible for contract review and closed won opportunities

  • Coordinate the handover of new contract start up between departments and phasing of relationship from sales to operations

  • Support Sales Director with presentation and customer engagements communication at adjudication, evaluation process

  • To ensure customer satisfaction through timely response to enquiries and fielding enquiries appropriately to enhance business growth opportunities

  • To ensure all contract and SLA’s are followed for both internal and external customers and that deviation from these are corrected

  • Analyse customer feedback to enhance quality and relevance of proposals

  • Regularly analyse the competitive landscape to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and emerging opportunities

  • Assess the level of collaboration and communication within cross-functional teams to ensure seamless pre-sales process

  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to streamline bid writing efforts

  • Track commercial performance of the pre-sales process by monitoring revenue generated from new contracts and the return on investment for business development activities

  • Adhere to Safety, health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) management system policies and procedures as applicable to this position and solutions proposed

  • Support on any reasonable actions as requested by Management

Qualifications

  • Minimum BCom degree 

  • LLB degree would be an added benefit
