TB HIV Care Community Health Worker (Counsellor) - Southern
TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation. We provide health care services throughout South Africa to both the general population and communities at increased risk for HIV and TB, including adolescent girls and young women, sex workers, inmates in correctional centres and people who use drugs. Purpose of the position: Conducts community, household and individual health assessments and identify individual health needs and risks (actual and potential). Facilitate the family or an individual to seek the appropriate health service and promote the health of the households and the individuals within these households. Refer individuals for further assessment and testing after performing simple basic screening. Provides limited, simple health interventions in a household. Provide psychosocial support and manage interventions such as treatment interrupted tracing and adherence support.
