The purpose of the job is to co-ordinate the safe and economical inbound, internal, and outbound movements of used oil and other fuel sources. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the right products are at the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics/Industrial Engineering
Experience
- Proven experience with complex planning and improved business planning
- 3 year’s demonstrated experience in a logistics planning role with import/export knowledge
- 1 years’ demonstrated experience with ERP (AX, SAP etc)
Duties Safety and Risk:
- Responsible for the implementation of Health and Safety policies within the mentioned scope
- Reporting of unsafe observations, incidents, and accidents timeously
- Participate in incident/accident investigations and champion corrective actions within scope
- Responsible to ensure compliance of internal and 3PL vehicles and drivers
- Responsible for the monitoring and execution of drive-cam/drive-risk actions and events
- Together with the Operations Supervisor will be responsible to implement the Road Safety plan
- Responsible to perform vehicle inspections and driver observations as specified in the road safety plan
Logistics:
- Responsible for the planning, execution, and control of inbound, internal, and outbound used oil (or other sources) movements
- Champion road safety programme for 3PL provider and internal logistics
- Responsible to manage the performance of the 3PL provider
- Responsible for timely execution of logistics administration such as trip sheets, delivery notes, import/export documents, and any other documentation required
- Responsible for active logistics communications to the relevant stakeholders
- Responsible to measure and manage key logistics performance indicators as per individual performance scorecard.
- Responsible for the retention and management of logistics related documentation
Quality:
- Responsible to ensure that only collections that have passed sampled quality analysis is scheduled
- Responsible to ensure the blending approval process is implemented fully
- Responsible to update the relevant quality data documentations
Ad hoc:
- Responsible to assist with adhoc duties related to Strategic Fuel Sources as and when required to ensure operational continuity of the department
