TB HIV Care PP PREV Technical Lead (PPPrev Programme) All Districts

Purpose of the position:  

 

To ensure the effective implementation, coordination, primary layering, and monitoring and evaluation of structural programmes in TB HIV Care supported sites and to ensure secondary layering between structural programmes, behavioural and biomedical services including a focus on outcomes of economic strengthening. This includes training, coaching and mentoring of the structural programmes, with quarterly assessments of the quality of implementation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Public Management or equivalent
  • Trained in business management
  • Trained in facilitation, moderation and assessment of training
  • Peer level training and mentorship
  • Project management training would be an advantage
  • Public administration training would be an advantage
  • Stakeholder engagement experience at District and Provincial levels.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience with a focus on adolescent and youth program
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience with a focus on mentoring and facilitation
  • Computer literacy and possesses IT skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Patient Rights Charter, Batho-Pele Principles, Public Service Reg.
  • Valid code 08 drivers’ licence
Duties and Responsibilities

Community engagement and networking

  • Engage the community stakeholders, leadership, gate keepers including schools, principals, SGBs
  • Engage DAC, LAC and WAC to get their buy-in for DREAMS as a community based approach
  • Network with all relevant stakeholders and implement an effective bi –directional referral system
  • Engagement of economic sector stakeholders

Mapping

  • Map out community-based organizations (CBOs), youth ambassadors, CHWs, to support mobilization
  • Map out Hotspots for implementation of PP_PREV programs.

Capacitation, supervision, mentorship and coaching

  • Conduct trainings on PP_PREV programs, followed with quarterly assessments and mentorship.
  • Attends training and workshops as part of staff development.
  • Capacitate teams to conduct community dialogues (CAGs) to assess the needs of youth.
  • Capacitate teams to conduct advocacy and sensitization to SBG, Parents and SMT members.
  • Capacitate teams on Health promotion training at a ward level and use of data at WAC meetings
  • Capacitate teams on support groups and youth care clubs with quarterly assessments and mentorship.
